Nana & Covey

I wanted to write a special post to say thank you to my wonderful mom (aka Nana).  She took time out of her retirement schedule to come and help me for the last week with the puppies.  She was a HUGE help to me this last week.  She relieved me of my duties so I could get out of the house or rest, she helped snuggle each and every puppy every day, she helped calm them so that they could be weighed nightly, she held them while I clipped their nails and she kept us both fed most of the week.  She also helped me get them to and from the vet for tails and dew claws day, sitting in the back seat with them ensuring they don’t climb out of their box or fall off the seat.  She comforted them after their turn and let them know they were loved.  She helped with the Bio-Sensor testing every day.

She also brought a couple little baby blankets to help us snuggle and when we decided that each puppy needed to have one to take home, she helped cut and tie each little square.

I don’t think she thought that she would get so attached to them after just one week, but these little guys are hard not to love.  It was hard for her to say goodbye to them.  I know she’s looking forward to coming back in a few weeks to see them again.
