We all made it through the first night.  It’s hard when you’re dead tired and just when you’re falling asleep someone starts screaming or whining and you have to get up and remember where you are before taking care of business. Mostly, the screaming or whining is due to noisy eaters and the occasional rogue puppy trying to find his way back to Mommy.

Roxie is doing well. She’s gotten her appetite back and is drinking lots of water. She’s also started to venture out of the whelping box on her own and sometimes even out of the room all together!

Wow, I just realized that it’s after 9:00!  I’ve been running around all day cleaning, catching up with puppy notes and weights, checking emails (still not caught up), and visiting with friends and neighbors who called or stopped by to see how we all were doing.  Whew!  I suppose I should eat and go to bed!
