Well, sort of…

First, puppies will be field evaluated at 7 weeks of age by Brad Higgins of Higgins Gun Dogs.  He will evaluate their independance and drive.  New owners are welcome to attend this evaluation to observe.

Higgins Gun Dogs, Lincoln, CA – Offers your first session at no charge. This session is an intro to his training method as well as an evaluation of your puppy.  Future training sessions are based on an hourly rate plus the cost of birds.  Check his website for more infomation on his training method and services. Brad is located just north of Lincoln, CA on Hwy 65.  FYI, all Fairhaven’s dogs field train with Brad, inlcuding Roxie.

Olive Hill Kennels, Knights Landing, CA – Included in your puppy’s price is the Puppy Head Start program offered by Olive Hill Kennels.  This includes: a) 8 wks old – initial contact with you via phone to discuss do’s and don’ts for your future hunter; b) 5 mos old – intro to birds; c) 6 mos old – 1 week of bird work, intro to guns.  Olive Hill Kennels works in conjunction with Quail Point Hunt Club in Zamora, CA.
